Digital Photography

Description:

“A picture is worth a thousand words.”  In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to not only learn how to take great pictures on a digital camera, but also learn how to work with the pictures on the computer to make the best picture possible.

Students will work with their instructors to transfer their pictures onto the computer and then learn the proper techniques of editing, cropping & resizing. As the workshop progresses, students will work to create a DVD slideshow of their amazing pictures filled with music, titles and animated transitions.

Digital Videographer

Description:

Watch out Hollywood here you come!  This workshop will teach students the fundamentals of operating of a Digital Video Camcorder and the intricacies of video production in order to produce a high quality DVD video.  With the assistance of their instructor, students will learn about storyboarding, proper video shots, how to import their footage onto a computer, editing, adding titles, creating credits, adding music, and finally, special effects.

At the end of the workshop, students will burn their video masterpiece onto their very own DVD to take home to share with their family and friends.

Digital Story & Music Creator

Description:

Have you ever wanted to create your very own sounds, voices, and music for your very own story? This workshop is designed to provide our students with the required knowledge to successfully complete each of those tasks. Instructors will lead students through a series of workshops teaching them the use of audio software to put together their very own digital story filled with sound effects and music.

Students will have the opportunity to create their own original story or have the option to recreate a classic. By the end of this workshop students will design their own CD covers and burn their story onto a CD to take home to share with their family and friends.

Website Designer

Program Code: WD01

Description:

Have you ever wanted to know how to create and publish your very own website?  This hands-on workshop will teach students the fundamentals of what makes a great website and how to publish their website to the World Wide Web.

Instructors will teach students how to add text, pictures, slideshows, and even video to your website to make it fun and unique.  By the end of the workshop, students will have their very own website to share with their friends and family.

Comic Creator

Description:

Super heroes, bad guys and more! Let your creativity fly as you create your very own comic. Learn to take photos and use this special software to add in images, text bubbles and bring your own imagery story alive!
